Details Info
Prominent amongst the twee, weatherboarded cottages of Whitstable's fashionable beach front, the salient style of this striking, new build is remarkably at home in this bijou enclave of oyster restaurants and shabby chic boutiques.

The sea lies tantalisingly close, and is well within view of the decked balcony that strikes out from the front of the property, and also gives partial cover to the parking area below, which has space for three cars in addition to a garage.

Designed by local architects to make best use of light and outlook, the property is configured 'upside-down'. An entrance hall on the ground floor leads to three of the four double bedrooms, and features a staircase up to a glazed landing. There is also a family bathroom, a utility/laundry room and internal door to the garage.

Slide back the bi-fold doors in the vast, open-plan living area, and you'll wonder why you ever needed a garden.

Notwithstanding a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass, the line between the outside and the inside evaporates, as the sun and roof top views of Whitstable reach into the living area. Completely flexible in its layout, this space very comfortably accommodates a living room, a dining room and of course the kitchen, which is smartly finished and fitted with high-specification appliances.

Also on this floor is the master bedroom, which is a particularly large room looking out over the garden and also benefits from an adjoining en-suite bathroom.

Beach Walk it may be, but stroll would be more pertinent, for as the name suggests, the beach is just a few short paces from the front door.

If you would prefer to soak up the sun in more privacy, there's a garden to the rear of the property with a raised sun terrace and plenty of space in which to relax or entertain.

A little more 'off the beaten track', Beach Walk will see considerably less footfall than central Whitstable during the summer months, but it remains nonetheless charming and within a short walk of the yacht club, restaurants and shops.
