Location

Broad Oak is a small village located to the north of Canterbury, approximately two miles from the vibrant city centre of historic Canterbury. Broad Oak features a village shop, two public houses, The Golden Lion and The Royal Oak as well as a chapel. It is situated less than a mile from the larger village of Sturry which features a railway station operating back into Canterbury as well local primary school and further shops. Broad Oak features some wonderful buildings from a variety of different eras and provides excellent road links to Canterbury and the north Kent coast. For public transport, the No 7 bus runs between Herne Bay and Canterbury so perfect whether its a little shopping, or a trip to the seaside! With the convenience of public transport coupled with the good road infrastructure, Broad Oak is far from cut off, particularly when you consider there is a train station in the next village as well.
