The Property
An attractive bay fronted marine residence of brick construction with colour washed rendered elevations and balcony to first floor enjoying a fantastic outlook to the Channel and Deal Pier to the south. Since 2000 the present owners have made substantial improvements to the property including re-wiring, plumbing, new gas boiler, rear extension and loft conversion. This has created deceptively spacious and well presented accommodation and allowed the opportunity to create an established and successful Bed and Breakfast. Arranged over three floors at ground level is a front sitting room with feature fireplace and decorative tiled slips and bay front with direct sea views. Off a wide reception hall which is split level are steps down to a rear dining room also with fireplace and good size kitchen with matching units, seven burner range cooker and stainless steel canopy above. Behind here leads to an extended breakfast room with vaulted ceiling, Velux windows and window overlooking the pretty rear garden. To the first and second floor are four bedrooms with a combination of ensuite facilities or adjoining bathroom to each bedroom with the front second and first floor bedrooms enjoying panoramic sea views and the added advantage to the first floor having a door and balcony to enjoy the vista. To the outside the front garden is enclosed with a low retaining wall and pathway to front door. The pretty back garden measures 69ft x 19ft with a raised paved patio area adjoining the rear of the property and attractive awning, there is a well established garden with a wide selection of specimen plants, shrubs and bushes, lawn and pathway leading to rear secluded garden feature pond and access to the rear with pedestrian gate and small timber shed. There is a rear vehicular access via Sandown Road with off road parking for a small car and the timber framed garage maintains the doors to a small storage space whilst the remaining section of the garage has been converted to a home office measuring 12ft x 12ft and is double glazed, sound proofed and insulated. The property retains many original features and benefits from gas central heating, double glazing and well proportioned accommodation in this enviable location.
