" Addington Street was Ramsgate’s main High Street in the early 1900’s, and looking at the Street now it is easy to picture the scene when all the shop fronts were thriving businesses bustling with local trade! Now the main High Street is in the middle of the town and although Addington Street has some shops remaining, many of the former shop fronts now hide an array of different houses, flats and maisonettes, all with their own character and charm.

12a Addington Street is a maisonette over two floors, accessed from Street level to the open plan living space, which has original shelving, picture rails and an open fireplace. This leads on to the dining area and open plan kitchen overlooking the garden and on the lower ground floor you will find the bathroom, main bedroom leading to the shared garden through French doors, a second room which is used as the second bedroom and could be fully classed as a second bedroom if the window were re-instated to the front (the vendor has informed us that planning permission has been granted for this.)This maisonette is full of character and would make an ideal first time buy, or would also be great as a weekend or holiday home, so call us to arrange your viewing today!

It was the quirkiness that really appealed to me when I first bought my maisonette in Addington Street. I really like the open plan ground floor, which is great for entertaining as you can see and talk to people in the dining area and the lounge while you’re cooking in the kitchen!The location is just great too, the seafront and harbour are at one end of the road and the town and Waitrose at the other end. There’s really easy access for the bus route and the station. Having a shared garden is great and makes it feel like you are in your own house! I hope the next owner enjoys living here just as much as I have done!
