" Anstey is a substantial and handsome family home, with exceptionally versatile accommodation to include a detached annexe and occupies a peaceful location within the centre of the village within walking distance of the amenities on offer. The property displays fine period detailing from the Edwardian era which includes high ceilings, open fireplaces, picture rails and panelled pine doors.

The property is accessed via a solid oak door leading to a practical entrance lobby. Beyond here is a charming octagonal reception hall which has herringbone oak flooring, a picture rail, stairs rising to the first floor and doors to the principal reception rooms. The sitting room is situated to the front elevation, and overlooks the lane. It has a red brick fireplace with a detailed surround which provides a focal point, and a tiled hearth with a log burner. The dining room is truly impressive, and is situated in the centre of the property with views to the lane, and a square arch opening to the garden room. There is a striking fireplace in the ‘Arts and Crafts‘ style which has a detailed and carved oak surround and mantle, which is set within a recess framed by an oak arch forming the centre piece of the room. A part glazed door accesses the well-appointed en-suite shower room, which has a vanity unit with storage below, a tiled shower cubicle and matching white suite. The second bedroom is situated on the front elevation and has views to the lane, a complete full height set of wardrobes, a picture rail, and a pedestal wash hand basin. There is a beautiful family bathroom which is lavishly appointed, and has a free-standing roll top, claw foot slipper bath, a matching pedestal wash hand basin and wc, and an ornate fireplace provides a focal point, and the room has views to the rear via a bay window. The remainder of this floor comprises a useful study, which is of an irregular shape and has views to the lane.

The second floor is equally charming, with an attractive landing with a velux window, vaulted ceiling and exposed roof structure on display. There are two spacious bedrooms on this floor, one with a range of built in cupboards and drawers, the other with a wardrobe.
