" The Old School House is a property which was used as the local village school for Abberton and Langenhoe between 1870 and 1995, surplus to Essex County Council's requirements the building was subsequently sold and planning consent approved for conversion for which the work commenced in the year 2000. The current owners have lived in the property for the last eleven years and have enjoyed the former school and all it has to offer and have vastly improved it throughout adding contemporary fixtures and fittings including kitchens and bathrooms whilst still retaining many of the character features including wood block flooring and strip pine cladding. Upon entering the old school the first room is a 36' reception hall with limestone flooring, large sitting room with dining room and adjacent to this is the study, there is a well appointed kitchen, a walk in pantry, conservatory and breakfast room which is also an addition to the original building and a useful utility room leading onto the garden; completing the ground floor accommodation are two double bedrooms and a shower room. On the first floor is the master bedroom with ample built in storage, en suite shower room, a further large double bedroom with views to the front overlooking fields and the estuary and a family bathroom. To the front of the property is a gated vehicular entrance with gravelled driveway providing ample off road parking and a single garage. EPC: D
