" 5 Hereward Way occupies a corner plot, tucked away amongst a quiet residential area in the rural village of Wethersfield. Though the house is elevated, provisions have been made for wheelchair access with a ramp as an alternative to the existing outdoor steps.

A panelled door opens into an entrance lobby, providing a large amount of space for coats and shoes. A further door opens into the light hallway which accesses the principal reception rooms

Through a sliding door to the left is the kitchen, comprising an electric oven and hob, washer dryer, fridge freezer, space for a dishwasher and ample cupboard storage. A large window provides a wide view as a result of the house‘s elevated position.

Further down the hall is the sitting and dining room, which has an electric heater with a detailed wood surround and French doors to the rear garden. Larger doors and a concrete ramp have been added to allow easy access by wheelchair.

There are two bedrooms, one with a number of built-in wardrobes and a window to the front, and the other with a view of the garden. Both are served by a shower room, adjacent to which is a separate cloakroom.

Outside

The south-west facing garden has been designed with low maintenance in mind, as it is made up of mostly paving interspersed with areas of lawn and flowerbeds. There are a number of shrubs and hedges, mostly evergreens, meaning they keep their colour in the winter months and drop few leaves. To the rear of the garden is a wooden shed, behind which is a place to store bins. Beneath the house is a garage with an electric up and over door and parking spaces in front.
