" This well-designed four bedroom house was completed by our clients in 2009 and sits on a corner plot. Being one of four self build projects the Newhall landowners permitted this makes for a truly unique one off home.Our clients designed the house themselves working closely with the landowners, using sensitive and current building materials and techniques to create this truly state of the art home.

There are a number of interesting features to this home high ceilings to the main rooms, under floor heating, open tread floating stairs and narrow glazed light sources strategically designed to optimise and maximise natural throughout this home. As well as maximising light this home is very energy-efficient, benefitting from solar panels which heat the hot water and a rain water harvesting system which flushes the toilets. There is also a very eco heat exchange ventilation system which provides fresh air whilst maintaining the temperature throughout the house.

The living space is laid out over three floors. On entering the hallway you are drawn to an open plan kitchen / dining room with study area. Wide glazed doors open out to the landscaped low maintenance rear garden which enjoys a sunny westerly aspect with part patio and decked area with water feature. There is a utility room offering important storage with door out to a side passage which allows entry to the garage and gardens. The separate music/reading room snug could be adapted to be an office or study playroom.

On the first floor there is a great sized living room enjoying views across open space. There are two similar sized bedrooms benefitting from a separate wet room.

Currently Newhall includes a range of shops and a Montessori nursery. More shops and a renowned 16th century pub, the Queen's Head, can be found in the neighbouring village of Churchgate Street, which is an easy walk. A short drive takes you to Harlow Town station where trains run to Tottenham Hale and then London Liverpool street with Harlow's second station Harlow Mill about a 15 minute walk away.
