" Marigolds is perhaps one of the prettiest houses in Old Harlow and is Grade II Listed, considered to be of architectural and historical merit. This elegant house probably dates back to the mid 17th or early 18th century and has significant Victorian additions. There are many period features including generous ceiling heights, open fireplaces, sash windows and some original window shutters. In the hall and drawing room, there is some of the finest cornicing you are likely to see.

The accommodation is mainly arranged over three floors, but there is also a remarkably dry cellar divided into three sections. The front door has a pretty fanlight and leads to a grand entrance hall with a vaulted ceiling, fine plasterwork and original tiled floor. The drawing room lies at the back of the house and links to a Victorian conservatory, there is also a kitchen/breakfast room, a study/office and a family room. The master bedroom suite has a splendid and newly constructed bathroom/dressing room with seating area about 28? x 17?6, which has been fitted out to an exceptionally high specification and has a vaulted ceiling and a balcony. There are four further bedrooms and two bathrooms over two floors.

Outside, to the front there is a parking area for four cars. The rear garden is broadly south facing and includes a terrace, shrubs, a heated swimming with electric cover, garaging for four cars 31? x 17?6 with remote controlled doors. Agent?s note: The owners of Marigolds will have a right of way over the driveway beside the property, to access the rear garden.Directions

From Bishops Stortford proceed south through Sawbridgeworth and at the traffic lights turn left by the Coho restaurant into Old Road. Proceed to the end of Old Road and when you reach a ?T? junction turn right. Follow the road and the property is about 400m along on the right, fronting a small green. "
