" 13 Mount Pleasant Road is a fine town residence built in 1884 of brick construction under a tiled roof with a stone and timbered front elevation. Arranged on four floors, the property retains many original features including open fireplaces, wall panelling to the sitting room and an original internal bell system in the kitchen. The current owners have sympathetically restored the property and upgraded the bathroom and kitchen. The sitting room has a fine fireplace with surround and mantel, fitted oak cabinets and shelving, half wood panelled walls and a window seat. The family room has a box bay window, a chimney recess cabinet and bookcases. The lower staircase splits into two sections; a dining room with French doors to a rear lobby and utility cupboard. The kitchen/breakfast room has a range of base cabinets with granite work surfaces, original wood-block floor and a large walk-in pantry. The first floor accommodation offers 2 bedrooms and a superb bathroom. There are 2 further bedrooms to the 2nd floor, with spectacular views of the town, and a separate shower room.
Outside is a gravelled driveway providing parking for several vehicles with access to the side store room/workshop. The rear gardens are a particular feature with a sunken terrace with brick paved surrounds and steps to the lawns. There is an ornamental feature pond with bridge over, many mature trees/shrubs and a stone built summerhouse. The gardens are approx. 85ft in length, are walled on two sides and offer a high degree of privacy and seclusion.Directions
