" Cole End House is a most intriguing period property believed to date back to the C17th. The original part is of a timber frame with rendered elevations under a thatched roof, with a later extensions of brick under a slate tiled roof and, in the last 20 years, a single storey extension. The property stands in delightful gardens and grounds of approx. one acre with garaging, parking and outbuildings. The reception hall has a brick floor and door to a cloak/utility room. The kitchen/breakfast room has a range of base and wall cabinets, fitted worktops, a polished brick floor and is double glazed. The sitting/dining room has a wealth of exposed timbers, superb inglenook fireplace with bressumer, brick hearth and wood burner. The 2nd sitting room has an attractive brick fireplace and glazed door to the gardens. A turning staircase leads to the first floor landing/study area with a storage cupboard and doors leading off to bedroom 1 with a vaulted beamed ceiling and side chimney recess. Bedroom 2 has an attractive ornate fireplace with surround and mantel. There is a bathroom with a white suite.
Outside, the driveway provides parking for several vehicles leading to the garage (16' 9" x 18' 4"). To the rear of the property is a workshop and garden store and two timber framed sheds. The gardens and grounds are a particular feature, the rear being laid to lawn with mature tree and shrub planting and pathways. The principal garden areas lie to the front of the property and are predominantly laid to lawn with many mature trees and shrubs and fruit trees with a high degree of privacy.
