" Clematis Cottage is a delightful Grade II Listed property, situated in a superb residential location within the centre of Great Chesterford. The property is of a timber framed construction with rendered elevations, has been extended in recent years and has attractive gardens with a former bakehouse. The reception hallway has doors leading through to the adjoining rooms. To the front is a study/snug with an attractive fireplace with wood burner. The spacious sitting/dining room has a significant inglenook fireplace with a carved bressumer and exposed timbers. The kitchen/breakfast room has views over the rear garden and terracing and is fitted with a range of base and wall cabinets with extensive work surfaces, space for fitted appliances. The inner hallway has a staircase leading to the first floor and an entrance to the good sized cellar. The first floor landing gives access to the loft space. Doors lead off to bedroom 1 with views over the rear garden and there are two further bedrooms; one with a fitted wardrobe, the other with an airing cupboard. The spacious bathroom has a corner bath with shower over.
Outside, a central gate entrance and pathway leads to the front entrance. There is a small lawned area with flowerbed borders. The rear garden is approx. 50ft x 34ft with a terrace area leading to the former part-brick bakehouse with the original copper and further store room. The garden is principally laid to lawn with mature tree and shrub planting. There is a side access with a right-of-way over the adjoining properties.Directions

From Saffron Walden take the B184 north passing Little Chesterford and upon entering Great Chesterford take the second turning left into Jacksons Lane. Continue down to the crossroads, turn right into Carmen Street and the property will be found on the right hand side. "
