The village of Oughterside is approximately 12 miles from the town of Wigton, approximately 6 miles from the town of Cockermouth, approximately 7 miles from the Lake District National Park an area of outstanding natural beauty and approximately 3 miles from the Solway Coast. Within Oughterside and the neighbouring village of Prospect there is a Post Office, school and Public House with further amenities being available in Aspatria, Wigton and Cockermouth.

This well presented detached family house is worthy of a viewing to appreciate the presentation, the location and the accommodation. The welcoming reception hall has a feature staircase leading to the galleried landing. The spacious living room overlooks the rear garden and a feature of this room is the inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. The family room has french doors leading to the garden. The kitchen/dining room has an extensive range of base and wall units with complementary worktops, two round bowl sink bowls, built-in eclectic hob with hood over and double oven, integrated dishwasher and french doors leading to the rear garden. The utility room is also accessed from the hall and has a single drainer sink and plumbing for a washing machine. To the first floor the landing has a built in storage cupboard. The good sized master bedroom has a built-in wardrobe with light and the en-suite shower room has a modern suite. The guest bedroom has a part sloping ceiling and windows to the front and rear elevations. There are a further two bedrooms, one currently used as a office and one used as a dressing room. The family bathroom has a modern suite comprising bath with panelled bath with shower over and screen, low level wc, wash hand basin and recessed shelving. To the outside there is a block paved drive to the front of the property allowing parking and access to the integral garage which has up and over door, light and power and courtesy door to the reception hall.
