" Set in just under half an acre, this distinguished home exudes quintessential 1930s elegance and charm and is proudly situated in one of Bristol's most sought-after suburban locations. A twin-entrance driveway meanders either side of the well established front garden complete with magnificent Magnolia tree, leading you to the front fa?ade of this classic Stride home. Typically unique in style and finish, you are immediately presented with an abundance of archetypal Stride and Art Deco characteristics, including picturesque Art Deco corner windows and an oak-panelled front door.
Once inside this magnificent home you are greeted with a generous hallway, adorned with fabulous original oak panelling and integrated post box. The original Art Deco detailing is prevalent throughout, even right down to the intricate wooden door handles on almost every interior door. The fabulous family drawing room lies to the right of the hallway, bursting with light due to its triple aspect. A beautifully ornate and original Claygate feature inglenook fireplace with red-brick surround creates the room's central focal point inset into a square wood panel bay with integrated book cupboards. Leadlight windows offer an excellent outlook over the landscaped rear garden. Just across the hall, the dining room, overlooking the front garden, gives excellent volume and leads on to the kitchen. The kitchen/breakfast room spans the majority of the rear of the ground floor and overlooks the tree-lined rear lawn, comprising integrated gas AEG hob with overhead extractor, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. The breakfast area, accented by a stylish period archway, offers a breakfast bar and integrated storage units. Here further access is granted to the entrance hall. A substantial cloakroom and WC can also be found on the ground floor.
Accessed via a door under the stairs, lies the cellar. This fabulous space is subdivided into four separate chambers and offers a wealth of opportunity. The main room, from which the other three branch off, is currently in use as a utility area, equipped with a Belfast-style sink and door out into the garden. A triple plated steel door leads you to a room which it is understood was converted into a bomb-shelter during WWII, other theories have been suggested, alluding to it being used as a jewellery store by a previous owner.
Ascending the original splendid oak staircase you will find the galleried first-floor landing offering space and additional period detailing, such as exposed wood beams. This level offers the family bathroom with separate shower and three further double bedrooms and one single, currently used as a study. The triple aspect master bedroom overlooks the front garden and allows access to the balcony, also shared with the third bedroom. This room also has an en suite with rear-garden views. The second floor offers two further spacious double bedrooms.
