LOCATION
The village of Blagdon is located to the western end of the Chew Valley and is well known for its stunning setting on the side of the Mendip Hills overlooking Blagdon Lake. Everyday needs are catered for within the village with a popular village stores/post office, butchers, beauty salon and ladies' fashion shop, and there is a daily bus service to Bristol and the surrounding villages. The village Pre-School and Primary School are within walking distance of the property and there is a daily school bus taking the older children to the Secondary School in Churchill.

The nearby villages of West Harptree and Chewton Mendip also provide everyday facilities. When travelling to Bristol the larger village of Chew Magna offers a wider variety of shops including late night opening Co-Op, Master Butcher, Travel Agent, Post Office/Gift Shop, two Banks, Health Centre and Veterinary Practice.

Chew Valley is unique in the West Country, comprising some thirty five thousand acres of unspoilt and protected countryside which occupies the middle ground of the Bath, Bristol and Wells triangle. Dominating the scene are the Chew Valley and Blagdon Lakes, notable for their fishing, birdlife, sailing and nature study amenities. The villages in the Valley are all unspoilt and each has its individual charm and character. Only seven miles to the north of the Chew Valley is the City of Bristol, the West Country's financial and business centre, whilst the charming City of Bath with its Roman origins and Georgian architectural masterpieces is under half an hour's drive to the East. On the southern side of the Mendips is the historic City of Wells, England's smallest, with its ancient Cathedral.

The region is well served by excellent Inter City Rail Links and the M4/M5 links to the rest of the Country. Bristol Airport is located at Lulsgate about seven miles south-west from the centre of Bristol.
