" Stunning award winning contemporary home in riverside location in thriving village of Saltford, equidistant from Bath and Bristol. Comprising three bedrooms, master en-suite and dressing area, open plan kitchen/diner with beautiful views of the weir, guest accommodation/home office, and mooring. When the current owners purchased Copperlea just over six years ago, it was a rather uninspiring chalet bungalow, but was situated in quite an exceptional setting. The property occupies a stunning riverside location on the fringes of the attractive and well-served village of Saltford. It is a setting that enjoys peace and tranquillity, as well as far-reaching views over the water and glorious surrounding countryside. To really make the most of the outstanding position, in 2012 they decided to embark upon an ambitious project to completely remodel the house both inside and out. This involved a complete renovation of the existing property as well as an extension to the rear and side. The result is an extremely attractive contemporary home that melds perfectly with its beautiful surroundings, and one that has won a number of awards for its unique design. The owners say that they wanted to create a really spacious, open-plan house that was able to incorporate both inside and outside living. Almost the entire ground floor is dedicated to a wonderfully spacious and open kitchen, dining and living area, and from this space two sets of large bi-fold doors can be pushed back to create an almost seamless connection with the extensive patio terrace beyond. The owners comment that the flowing design of Copperlea as well as its peaceful and restorative location gives them the feeling of being on a permanent holiday. Beyond the patio, a large lawned area gently slopes to the bank of the river where the property enjoys its own private mooring as well as full fishing rights. When the weather is warm the owners like nothing more than to cruise in their boat along to one of the many riverside pubs for a leisurely Sunday lunch. The garden is also home to an oak ?guest cottage?, which has a single room complete with en-suite bathroom. It is currently being used as a gym, but would also be ideal for friends or family to stay in. Copperlea is a beautiful home that sits in a location that is not only picturesque, but one that is also extremely convenient. The village of Saltford has a Tesco?s, Co-op, barbers, post office, florists, pharmacy, Indian and Thai restaurants, three public houses, nursery and primary school and amenities, and it lies almost equidistant between the cities of Bath and Bristol. The transport links are excellent. The current owners say that they will be extremely sad to leave this ?special house? as it has given them a really fabulous quality of life. They say they will miss the wonderfully open plan nature of Copperlea, and being able to come home and experience such beauty. "
