DIRECTIONS
Travelling south along the A38 from the Bristol direction, proceed past the airport through the traffic lights at Churchill, past Winscombe and Shute Shelve continuing past the turning for Axbridge into Lower Weare. Lower Weare is a hamlet within easy reach of the A38 and lies on the south side of the Mendip Hills on the ancient moorland beyond. Local facilities include a highly regarded first school, plus church and pubs in the vicinity. The ancient medieval town of Axbridge is a short drive to the North where there are more comprehensive shopping, social and recreational facilities. Further facilities are available in Cheddar, a bustling village on the edge of the Mendips. These facilities include shops, banks, doctors, schools and church.
