Architecturally designed, four bedroom detached house in sought after location and marketed as CHAIN FREE.

Leslie Tucker was an architect who together with two architect friends purchased an attractive but challenging plot of land in the 1950s on which to build their own homes. They helped each other clear the woodland sites and their houses were cleverly built onto the sloping site, one was sold off and the three architects and their families moved into their respective homes. Tucker landscaped the garden, creating a series of stepped terraces, and designed the house to reflect his interest in modern, open plan architecture using good quality materials and making full use of available light. Enjoying working with wood, he designed and built all the original fittings, including the kitchen cupboards and the unique bridge which provides two level access to the property. The house was extended in 1976 to create more space for a growing family and a bright studio for his local artist wife, Pat. The architect lived very happily in the house for some 65 years.
