" Enjoying a beautiful rural setting close to the amenities of North Chailey and Haywards Heath is this delightful 4 double bedroom cottage which has been much extended and updated over the years. The original part of the building is believed to date back to the 1800s with later extensions added in the 1990s and 2015. Despite modernisation the property retains many of its characterful features including a large open fire and original beams in the spacious entrance hall, while benefitting from many updates including a CAT 5 system providing TV, telephone and broadband throughout the property. With accommodation over three floors the property benefits from rooms of good proportions including a mostly open plan ground floor space opening off a welcoming entrance hall with enclosed porch. The 22ft sitting room leads to a separate kitchen/dining room fitted with a good mix of wall and base units in a farmhouse style, with integrated appliances including a double oven with induction electric hob on a central island. Further space for appliances is available in the adjacent utility room.

On the first floor there are three good size double bedrooms opening off a spacious central landing. Both the double aspect master bedroom and bedroom 2 have en suite shower/bathrooms, while bedrooms 3 and 4 (the latter located on the second floor) share use of a family bathroom.

Situation
Situated mid-way between Haywards Heath and Uckfield, North Chailey is a charming village ideally located on the A272 providing fast access to surrounding villages. Within the village there is a cricket club, tea shop, service station and farm shop, with pubs and schools available in neighbouring Newick. Further amenities can be found in Haywards Heath (6 miles) where there is a main line station offering fast and regular trains to Gatwick Airport, London Bridge and Victoria (approx. 45 minutes). The local area is beautiful open countryside with many footpaths leading to woodland and areas of outstanding natural beauty.
