" Last purchased in 1918 and owned by a single family for four generations, this mesmerising townhouse is set in the Cliftonville Conservation Area of central Hove and is a fine example of a spacious mid-Victorian Italianate residence. Albany Villas is one of the most desirable roads in Brighton & Hove.

This striking period townhouse is set over five floors. The half basement and ground floor were refurbished in 2007 by the owner architect to a high standard, whilst retaining numerous original features, and has been let as an independent residence. Currently there is a family home stretching over the top three levels, which does require some updating to fit a modern taste. There is potential to turn the property into a five storey family home meaning the return of the building to it's original grandeur and size.

The property is surrounded by south, east and west facing gardens as well as enjoying views of Brighton and Hove, the Sussex Downs and the sea from the upper storeys/ flat roof. Also accessed from the back through Medina Villas, there is a garage and further parking laid out for three cars - a rare find in the city, plus various sheds and vegetable gardens.

Albany Villas is set on the south side of Church Road which is actively sought after for it's cafe and restaurant lifestyle. Also, a little further up the road is George Street offering many different stores. Within yards you will find Hove lawns and the seafront itself.

The City is blessed with many exceptional schools both state and private, a particular favourite currently being Brighton College-UK Independent School of the year 2011-2012. Other local schools include St Christopher's and St Andrew's.
