" What do you get if you put together 3 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, a spacious kitchen and great bus links? The ideal investment opportunity.Pat, when first seeking accommodation for his daughter to stay in whilst studying at Sussex University, had intended to rent. However, the more he saw made him become increasingly concerned, it really was slim pickings so he decided to become the landlord himself.
Wanting to provide a home that the students parents would be proud of, meant modernising various rooms at Ringmer Drive. The girls love to cook in the kitchen, which was replaced early 2009. Modern black work surfaces, cooker, hob and grill and breakfast bar, which comes in handy with three cooks fighting for space. The second reception room is currently used as a dining room, but could be used as a fourth bedroom to maximise rental. They still have a communal lounge where they can either curl up watching the television, or study to their hearts content in front of the decorative electric fire. There is also a security/fire monitoring system in place.

What the Owner says:

Ringmer Drive has been a real sound investment for the past year, some of the rentals that we saw for my daughter to live in were awful. Buying was the best decision that I could have made. I have made a lot of improvements which other landlords can reep the benefits from, such as having a modern kitchen with appliances fitted and also newly installed central heating. If I lived closer then there is no doubt in my mind that I would hold onto the property and earn an income from it. So anyone looking to do the same for their son or daughter that are studying at one of the Universities, then it would be highly recommended.
