Harwood is situated 2.5 miles North East of Bolton Town Centre and boarders the town of Bury. Originally a small village Harwood is mostly residential, with a few businesses concentrated around a Morrison's supermarket at the centre. The 507 bus serves from Harwood to Bolton with the nearest railway station situated at Bromley Cross.
