Helmsdale is a delightful character semi-detached cottage built circa 1880. This three bedroom cottage has mature cottage gardens, garage and a shingle drive with the potential to extend and improve subject to Planning Permission and is situated close to the village centre and opposite the open forest. Helmsdale lies close to the centre of, arguably, one of the most beautiful and sought after villages in The New Forest, ideally situated to make full use of all the wonderful facilities the Forest has to offer, whether it be sailing at nearby Lymington (12 miles) or golf at one of the many courses in the area including nearby Burley and Brockenhurst with its mainline railway station (8 miles, Waterloo 90 mins.) The market town of Ringwood is but a short drive away (5 miles). The larger shopping towns of Southampton (20 miles) to the east and Bournemouth (16 miles) to the west, both, with their airports, are easily accessible.

The front door leads to the dining hall with a large brick fireplace, stairs to the first floor and doors to the kitchen and sitting room with windows to front and rear. The kitchen has a range of pine base and wall units and there is a Belfast sink and Aga with a wall mounted gas boiler.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a downstairs cloakroom. On the first floor there are three bedrooms (two double and one single) and a landing with an airing cupboard. There is a good size bathroom with low level WC, wash hand basin and shower cubicle.



To the front there is good off-road parking with a shingle drive leading to the brick built single garage which has an up and over door, window to the side, power and light.

To the rear is a well maintained cottage garden with a raised terrace leading down to a lawned area with herbaceous border and fruit tree all bounded by mature hedgerow, close boarded and picket fencing.
