THE SITUATION

Twin Cottage is in a beautiful sought after rural location in the heart of The New Forest National Park. lies about one and a half miles from the centre of, arguably, one of the most beautiful and sought after villages in The New Forest, ideally situated to make full use of all the wonderful facilities the Forest has to offer. Whether it be sailing at nearby Lymington (12 miles) or golf at one of the many courses in the area including Brockenhurst with its’ mainline railway station (8 miles, Waterloo 90 minutes.) The market town of Ringwood is but a short drive away (5 miles). The larger shopping towns of Southampton (20 miles) to the east and Bournemouth (16 miles) to the west, both with their airports are easily accessible. Twin Cottage further benefits from being only a twenty minute drive to many beautiful south coast beaches.

THE LOCAL AREA

The first Spencers New Forest office was established here in Burley, a honeypot village that feels untouched by time with its traditional cafes, cider farm, gift shops local village shop, butchers, post office and tales of old smuggling routes, witches and dragons. This is the New Forest on holiday as imagined by visitors: quaint and old fashioned with ponies wandering down the high street. In Burley there’s a perpetual feeling of having escaped, that you are away from it all, especially as it is tucked in the lee of wooded slopes. There’s a lovely sense of community, and a range of activities to enjoy locally including cycling, horse riding, coarse fishing, cricket and the Burley Golf Club with a nine-hole heathland course. For families, there is a primary school in the village, a very good secondary school and sixth form in Ringwood as well as Brockenhurst College which is approximately 7 miles away.



THE PROPERTY

Both bedrooms are serviced by a good sized family bathroom, comprising a freestanding cast iron slipper bath, large shower cubical, low level WC, hand wash basin and features original pine wood flooring. 



GROUNDS & GARDENS

The property is accessed from the forest lane through a timber five bar gate onto a shingle driveway which provides off road parking for a couple of cars. This then leads down the side of the property to the rear which provides a perfect place for garden furniture and alfresco dining. This area also features a stable block that has been converted for storage and has power and electricity.

The rear garden is prominently laid to level lawn and boarded with a newly erected timber fence to one side and mature hedge row and features a useful log store.

There is potential to slightly extend the property and significant potential to build a garage (both subject to necessary planning permission).
