Horton Heath is an area situated within a mile of the Dorset village of Horton enjoying a rural location. Surrounded by open countryside and woodland and offering miles of bridleways and footpaths the area has a mix of residential homes, a few farms and equestian properties most of which are found along the Horton Road. Two convenience stores are locally at Three Legged Cross which is some 1.5 miles distant, with a wider range of shops and amenities at West Moors and Verwood (3.5 miles and 5.0 miles respectively). Wimborne Minster is approx 9 miles distant and the larger towns of Bournemouth and Poole (approx 15 miles and 16 miles respectively). The area is serviced by some good Dorset Country Pubs including the popular thatched Drusilla’s Inn with uninterrupted views of the historic Horton Folly Tower. The A31 can be easily reached being 5.5 miles distant at Ashley Heath offering connection to the major road networks.
