About the Property
St Thomas Terrace is a row of Grade II listed houses built in 1868
by Samuel S Teulon. He was the architect responsible for St Thomas'
Church and the vicarage both of which are opposite St Thomas
Terrace. Number 3 was completely refurbished by the current owners
in 2011.
The refurbishment work included a full rewire with fire alarms and
new circuit boards etc. Full replumbing including a new high
capacity combi boiler servicing the heating and hot water. The
extension at the rear was rebuilt with a new roof and joinery and a
new back door. A utility room was formed and a downstairs WC
introduced. The kitchen was completely replaced as was the
bathroom. All with quality materials including quarry tiled
flooring and hand made tiles. Non-original period cast iron
fireplaces were installed in the sitting room, dining room and
bedrooms one and two. The fireplaces in the reception rooms are
working fires. All of the floorboards throughout which are original
were stripped and varnished. Joinery was replaced in certain areas
with matching period reproductions and the property was redecorated
throughout. The front garden was redesigned to be in keeping with
the front gardens of the neighbours.
This truly is an exceptional property with lots of quality original
features which has been refurbished to a very high standard.
