" Being offered with no onward chain is this charming former miners cottage is full of character and has superb uninterrupted countryside views. The property further benefits from a light and airy attic room, double glazing, solid wood doors throughout and lovely views to the rear. The accommodation comprises an enclosed fully glazed entrance porch and a part glazed solid wood door leading to the living room. The living room has solid wood stairs leading to the first floor landing and a feature stone fireplace with inset log burner. A cased opening leads through to the kitchen/dining room which has a door and window to the rear overlooking the playing fields. The kitchen is fitted with solid wood wall and floor units with laminate wood effect rolled edge worktops over, inset stainless steel sink and drainer with chrome taps. There is space and plumbing for a washing machine and a free standing electric cooker. There is a storage cupboard which has space for a fridge/freezer.  On the first floor landing there is an airing cupboard with shelving. Bedroom one is a lovely room with a window to the front, a chimney breast with recessed shelving and a door to stairs leading up to the second floor. Bedroom two has a window to the rear with stunning far reaching views of the countryside. The family bathroom comprises of a panelled bath with a chrome mixer tap and hand held shower attachment, pedestal hand wash basin with taps and a dual flush W.C. On the second floor there is the lovely attic room which has a Velux style window to the rear. Outside, the enclosed split level front garden is hard landscaped with decorative stone chippings and features a ground level well. Area
The village of Coleford has a splendid range of facilities, which include a post office, public houses, school, church, local store and a fast food takeaway. The surrounding open countryside offers lovely walks and many other outdoor pursuits. There is transport to Norton Hill school and there are school buses that pick up in the village taking children to the local primary school at Kilmersdon and to the state secondary school for this catchment area, Writhlington. These schools have excellent reputations. This region is very well serviced by independent schools. All Hallows Preparatory is 5 miles away and Downside School is 2 miles away as well as all of the Bath Schools being within easy reach. The village of Coleford is to be found south of Midsomer Norton and West of Frome and the historic Georgian City of Bath is approximately 14 miles, Bristol 19 miles and 8 miles to Frome. Frome is a pretty and historic market town with many amenities, including shopping, banks, post office, theatre, cinema, local hospital, a number of schools and railway station, which has links to London, the West Country, Wales and the North. Midsomer Norton is an old mining town with many historic features with ample facilities including a leisure centre, supermarkets and individual shops and services including a health centre. There are a number of National Trust properties in the area. There is a choice of good schools and a library. The historic Georgian city of Bath provides an excellent selection of retail outlets and further amenities including The Theatre Royal, a choice of Museums and Art Galleries, the Abbey and Roman Baths. There are excellent road links to London, The Midlands and South West via the M4, M5 and A303 all within easy reach. Rail links to London and beyond are available from Frome, Westbury, Bath and Bristol. Bristol International airport is also close by.
