Situated in South Somerset and part of the Parish of North Cadbury and Yarling, Galhampton is a thriving and active small village of around 400 people. There is a village hall, chapel and playing field, surrounded by lovely, rolling Somerset countryside with plenty of sheep, cows and horses. There is a strong community feel within the Galhampton. There is a small church within the heart of Galhampton which holds regular services. There is also a village hall which has been up dated from time to time and enjoys regular bookings for private use.  There is a mixture of housing within the village which varies in age from modern to several hundred years old. Galhampton holds an annual music event called Party in the Park. Nestled away from the main road which leads to Sparkford and Yeovil but within easy access of the pretty market town of Castle Cary. Castle Cary offers business catering for every day needs such as banks, health centre, doctors, dentist, restaurants, public houses and coffee shops whilst benefitting from leisure facilities and amenities with clubs and socities for most interests. Many independent and Community schools of repute in the area such as Hazelgrove in Sparkford, Millfield in Street, Sexeys, Sunnyhill and Kings in Bruton. There is the mainline station with the 125 Intercity line to London and Paddington and Templecombe within 15 minutes drive offering the mainline train to London and Waterloo making commuting viable.
