" This intriguing and comfortable property has been the cherished home of our clients for many years, during which time a series of carefully considered improvements have been carried out, with sensitivity to the origins of the building.
With around 1800/1900 square feet of accommodation, well balanced over three floors, The Paddocks serves well as a home for family or house guests.
The two reception rooms have lovely stone fireplaces and wood burners, creating the cosiest of hideaways for Autumn and Winter days.
The cottage kitchen/breakfasts room is neatly fitted and has space for light dining and the large entrance hall service flexibility as a further small sitting room or study.
The four bedrooms on the upper floor are surprisingly well proportioned, with apparent scope to perhaps add an en suite facility (subject to the usual consents, however note that the house is not a listed building).
This is certainly a 'house for all seasons' as the gardens have all year round colours and interest. The beautiful round summerhouse (another year-round hideaway), hand built by our client to echo the use of stone and timber so apparent in the main house, will be seen as a 'signature' feature of this appealing property.
Additional features include utility room/cloakroom, oil fired central heating, private driveway parking and a superb garage workshop which could serve as an annexe, studio or office.
Although this would provide a comfortable home for the owner, given the style and location of the property, the cottage would also serve well as a potential holiday let.
