Torksey is also the home of the prestigious Lincoln Golf Club which is an attractive eighteen hole parkland course with a very welcoming club house and pro shop.

Further local facilities, including high street shops, supermarkets and schooling can be found 7.6 miles to the north in Gainsborough, while the cathedral city of Lincoln offers a wealth of shopping, leisure and cultural facilities, and the independent schooling at Lincoln Minster School.

The area is well connected by road, with the A57 three miles away and the A1 within 11 miles. Mainline rail services are available from Lincoln and Retford 90 minutes to London Kings Cross .
