Roughton Moor Wood provides walking trails, while just outside Horncastle, Wolds Wildlife Park is a popular attraction. The beautiful landscapes of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are also within reach.

The area is connected by road, with the A158 at Horncastle providing routes towards the cathedral city of Lincoln to the west, and the Lincolnshire coast to the east.
