SELLER INSIGHT
We bought this house while it was still under construction, we knew the space and location would be perfect for our family. We have a large family, entertain a lot and our kids often had friends over so big reception spaces were essential, and have been so well used!
This house is within easy reach of everything we need, yet tucked away in peaceful surroundings, it s equally convenient and private here.
The family room has always been the heart of our home whether it s for family meals, dinner parties or Christmas parties with the neighbours, there s always a warmth that fills the house. Our open door policy means there are always people around, it s been a house full of life and fun.
Our main bedroom is fantastic, having two walk in wardrobes has been a luxury, and one we ve replicating in our new house. I even have my desk in my wardrobe, by the window, it s such a peaceful spot.
The garden is low maintenance, ideal for us as we re so busy, and it s been well used. We ve had quite a few BBQs here, the kids used the gazebo quite a lot with their friends in the summer and my mother loved to sit out there readying quietly.
This location has been great for us and our kids as they grew. Our daughter attended Peter Symonds, it s so close she used to bring friends home for lunch. Later, she worked in London and walked to the train station. Our neighbours are very friendly, we look after each other. There s a WhatsApp group and we take it in turns to host Christmas parties. It feels very safe and relaxing living here.
Being homebodies, we spent a lot of time at the house, but when we did venture out, the walk into town for dinner was easy, we love the Bangkok Brasserie, Tanoshii Fusion, and Greens cocktail bar. The markets in Winchester are very good, the shopping here generally is excellent, Winchester has everything we need with so many independents, it makes shopping a pleasure rather than a chore.
We have loved this home deeply, and had it not been for our daughter s growing passion for horses, which required more land, we would have never left. This house holds so many cherished memories, and we know it will bring the same warmth, joy, and belonging to the next family who calls it home.
