This house has been my home for the past five years and I have loved living here. It is a very quiet neighbourhood and is in a great position for buses into Newbury and Reading.
The bonus is having the lovely Nature Discovery Centre right on your doorstep, with the lake to walk around. Perfect for those with a dog, but even if you do not have one, it is still a wonderful place to stroll, watch the ducks and swans, and stop for a coffee or an ice cream. I have spent many happy hours here with my grandchildren, enjoying picnics and feeding the birds.
This house has been a peaceful haven in a busy world, and I hope the next owners cherish it as much as I have.

This home would be perfect for anyone who wants to live in a quiet setting while still enjoying excellent local amenities. I am a big fan of the utility and storage cupboard next to the WC. As the washing machine is housed in here, it means you can have a dishwasher in the kitchen, which is a definite tick in the box for me. The garden is a lovely place to spend time. It is completely private from the neighbours and would be ideal for entertaining friends or family with a summertime barbecue.
Having two double bedrooms gives you plenty of flexibility. Bedroom two could easily accommodate both a desk and a double bed, making it ideal if you work from home but still want space for guests to stay.
Right outside the front of the house, you have two allocated parking spaces, giving you the convenience of parking as close as if you had your own driveway.

Richmond Avenue is just over a mile to the West of Thatcham town centre, and you could be there in a 27 minute walk and benefit from all it has to offer. Its a great little market town with a Waitrose, Costa and many independant shops, restaurants, pubs and amenities. The Nature discovery Centre is only a 5 minute walk away, excellent for taking the kids to the park or dog for a long walk around the lake. My kids love feeding the ducks there at the weekend! The Kennet & Avon canal isn t far either and provides tranquil walks along the water towards Reading or Newbury, plus theres some great pubs for food or drinks along its banks, giving you a great options to aim for on a Sunday walk with the family.
If commuting is important to you, its worth knowing that Thatcham train station is just over 2 miles away and has a direct link to London Paddington. The A4 is only a few minutes drive away and gives you great connectivity to Reading or Newbury and the towns and villages in between by car. Junction 13 of the M4 motorway is 6 miles away and offers a convenient way to commute to London or the West.
