Description

Stretton Heights is situated in an enviable position with far reaching views towards Caer Caradoc and Iron Age hill fort, Willstone Hill, Hope Bowdler Hill and the Gaer Stone within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The National trust area with miles of footpaths is reached by a path just a few metres up the road. It is an important place for wildlife, geology and archaeology. There are paths for walking, cycling and horse riding, bird hides, pretty streams and a visitor centre including a tea room and parking.

The driveway of the property comfortably accommodates two cars and leads to a large garage that was built to house a motorhome. A local architect designed the improvements that include low maintenance, self coloured, wood effect, cement cladding to some elements of the house. The main entrance leads into a utility boot room with plenty of hanging space and conceals the gas fired boiler in the cupboard. A door leads into an inner hallway with a shower room that includes a WC and sink, with storage underneath and a heated towel rail. Electric underfloor heating can boost the comfort if wished. A large water cistern in a hall cupboard ensures ample hot water to all the showers and baths. The spacious fourth bedroom with fitted wardrobes is adjacent to the shower room.

Across the hallway, past a full length window, is the living room. There is a WHAM eco wood burner between two large windows. The L shaped room leads through to a snug office area which has Strachan fitted units and a desk area, and would be ideal as an office space to work whilst being surrounded by open countryside.

An open tread oak staircase leads to the first floor, where a Velux window gives a perfect view of the Gaer Stone. To the right, is the spacious principal bedroom which has the most spectacular views over the hills, and countryside through two large windows. There are ample fitted cupboards, drawers and wardrobes. The en suite has a walk in shower with touch pad heating controls, a vanity sink unit with storage underneath, a bidet and WC.
