Description
Edgewood is a superbly presented detached home, situated on the edge of the popular village of Wivelsfield. It was built as one of a pair and completed in 2018; it has stylish part wood clad, part rendered brick elevations under a tiled roof, with anthracite double glazing; its sophisticated interiors are equally appealing, finished with a contemporary palette and attention to detail.
At the front of the house, lying off the entrance hall, is a cosy sitting room, an ideal haven to relax and unwind with bespoke joinery to one wall. Opposite is a playroom, with plenty of space for toys and activities, converted from the garaging by the current owners; this room could be used as bedroom if required, as lying across the hallway is a ground floor shower room. Beyond is a useful utility room, fitted with Neptune cabinets and with direct access to the side garden.
A short flight of steps leads down from the hall to the open plan kitchen dining family room, which is the hub of day to day life. The kitchen is fitted with an excellent range of bespoke Neptune cabinetry, and a Smeg range cooker; further integrated appliances include a dishwasher, a full height fridge and matching freezer. The dining area offers space for a dining table, and for sofas and a TV; there are sliding doors which open up to the rear terrace and landscaped garden.
On the first floor, the principal suite has a floor to ceiling window framing the lovely outlook over the rear garden to the woodland beyond; it has a custom made, built in bed with headboard. The dressing room is also fitted with an excellent range of bespoke joinery; beyond lies a spacious en suite bathroom. There are three further bedrooms, one of which is currently used as a study, and one with a walk in wardrobe; the family bathroom offers a bath and a separate shower cubicle. Additionally, there is a loft room, which is accessed via a ladder. This is used by the current owners as a studio workspace, is fully decorated and has two Velux windows.
Outside

There is access at each side to the rear garden, which is fully enclosed by a mix of panel fencing, with wire link fencing and a beech hedging to the rear, set with a gate which gives access to the bridlepath leading up to the village.
The garden has been beautifully landscaped adjoining the house is a wide terrace, with a wisteria clad pergola at one end providing a place to eat al fresco; there is second patio away from the house sited to catch the afternoon sun.
