I am the second owner of Shire House and have lived here happily with my horses for over 18 years. It was a rare opportunity to own a modern family home, in a convenient village setting with first class equestrian facilities on my doorstep.
I have the best of both worlds, neighbours so you don t feel isolated, yet once the solid wooden gates are closed the yard, arena and paddocks that extend to the rear are very sheltered, private and peaceful. I am lucky to have well drained pasture land and the arena is truly an all weather surface which never floods and has been very well maintained.

The yard has ample room for cars and horseboxes and is well laid out with everything you need from a secure tack room to a covered wash area and lots of stores and outbuildings so the next owners can just move in with everything they need in place.

The house is light filled thanks to the large bay windows at the front and the Georgian style sash uPVC windows throughout which are both attractive and practical. I removed the old conservatory, which was either too hot or too cold, and added the garden room extension with skylights and bi folding doors to the terrace and garden. The brick and pantile stable block adjoins the rear garden so you can see the horses heads over their doors from both the garden room and the kitchen which is a view I never tire of.

North Scarle is a very safe and friendly village, the village school is thriving under the new leadership team and there is a wide range of community sports on offer with active tennis, cricket, football clubs all within walking distance as are a good network of footpaths and bridleways.

The location is ideal for anyone who competes as it offers easy access to a range of first class equestrian centres. We are spoilt for choice with Arena UK around 20 miles away and Vale View and Speetley Equestrian Centre both just over 30 miles away.
