Description

"A charming characterful cottage in the village of Bitterley, about 4 miles from Ludlow, with walks from your door onto Clee Hill and the surrounding countryside.

Description

Situated on a gravel driveway, Yew Tree Cottage has been renovated, and extended creating a beautiful, modern family home, in an idyllic, peaceful location.

Upon entrance though an insulated oak front door, leads into the hallway with a Velux skylight above allowing plenty of natural light in. To the left is a spacious open plan kitchen diner which has been transformed by the current owners. There are fantastic solid oak units, a cream SMEG range cooker, with an electric oven and gas hob, and SMEG extractor fan above. There is also a stainless steel double sink with a pull out tap, Quartz worktop and limestone tiles with underfloor heating.

The open plan space leads into a dining area, along with a breakfast bar. There are exposed beams, and stunning brickwork wall feature showing wonderful character of the property. This leads through to the living room where there is a Jotul multi fuel cast iron log burner, and an old bread oven in the wall of the fireplace. There is also a full height frosted glass window from the original door to the cottage. This then loops back round to the entrance hall, where there is a useful utility room, with ample space for storage, along with a WC and a boot room area.

Stairs rise to the first floor, where there are four generous size double bedrooms. The principal bedroom has an en suite with a walk in shower, as well as a Juliette balcony with French doors opening to show the beautiful rural views of the garden and fields beyond. There are Velux windows in almost every bedroom, creating a light open feeling throughout the first floor.

There are a further two double bedrooms, and the final bedroom being currently used as a gym but has potential to be a dressing room office bedroom. There is an inner landing which could also be used as an office space storage area. The family bathroom has a separate shower and a copper, roll top, free standing bath.

Outside

A gated gravel driveway comfortably accommodates three cars, leading round to the extensive garden which is mostly laid to lawn. Bi fold doors lead from the dining room out onto the raised patio where there is room for outdoor dining. There are two spacious sheds, one being used as a workshop and the other for storage. There is also a greenhouse, a stream at the end of the garden and a wildlife area. There are beautiful views to the surrounding countryside.
