Weedon Lois sometimes also referred to as Lois Weedon is a rural village situated in the countryside of The Golden Triangle in South Northamptonshire.

Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, its name came from the Anglo Saxon Wedone meaning a hill with a temple and to this day there remains a prominent mound above the village green which is known as Castle Mound. It is believed that a Norman priory was founded in c1100. Situated in Church Close field, all traces seem to of it have sadly disappeared. Recorded on a tablet in the church, the village history is also linked to the Civil War, by its then vicar, a loyalist who was apprehended by Parliamentary troops in July 1643.
