Ashford Preparatory School is on the outskirts of the village.

Ashford International Station 4.1 miles has high speed services to London Stratford from 31 minutes and London St Pancras 37 minutes. Trains to London Charing Cross and Cannon Street can also be found at Ashford.

There is a good selection of schools in both the state and private sectors at primary and secondary levels. These include Great Chart, Bethersden and Pluckley Primary schools and Highworth and Norton Knatchbull grammar schools in Ashford, Chilmington Green School, Homewood in Tenterden, Ashford School, Kings Canterbury, Sutton Valence and Benenden at secondary level.
