Seller Insight

What is your favourite room in the house and why?

I can pick 2 but not 1! The kitchen is fab during the day, the light pours in through the windows and there are views out on all sides. It s sets me up every day. In the evenings I love the cosiness of the sitting room, the log fire quickly makes it so snug.

Who do you think will be the ideal new owner?

It s a very peaceful location with many lovely walks on your doorstep, so if you want that sort of haven this is perfect.

What do you love most and why?

I love filling the kitchen with friends and family for dinners it s a relaxed and informal space which makes everyone feel instantly welcome. My husband loves the super fast broadband, makes home working easy.

What do you love about the local community?

Everyone pitches in and makes it fun, but also takes care of one another. One of my neighbours hosts a fundraising duck race down the stream every year. All her children have flown the coop, but she just loves bringing people together. There are a lot of young families too, Holy Trinity Primary School up the road is a big pull as a result of its excellent SATs results each year. The village hall committee is also great, a real balance of putting fun on for the families and making sure good decisions are made with the funds raised.

How easy is it to commute from here?

If you re heading for London, I like that we have a few options with; Westbury, Pewsey and Andover. It s great to have two London destinations to choose from with both Paddington and Waterloo.

What made you choose this property over others?

The cottage delivers lots of practical space, so we found it great value for money compared to our other options on the market. But mainly it was location. It s a beautiful and peaceful location with plenty of walks and the added benefit of being in catchment for an outstanding primary school.
