History
Once known as Parsonage Farmhouse, together with other land in the village, it formed part of the Parsonage estate once owned by King Henry VIII. He gave this estate together with the Church to Eton College in exchange for St. James‘s Palace in London on 26th Dec 1531.
Most of its life, it was a working farm and recorded as having 25 acres in 1861. John Blaxland lived there 1792-1806. After his wife and daughter died, John Blaxland went to Australia to found Newington over there.
