Weve been living in Ridley Road for 5 years and are in love with our house and the area. The property is near many of Londons best parks, restaurants and bars so were never short of things to do. It is also minutes away from one of the most vibrant markets in the city, but just far enough that its not on our doorstep . We live on a pretty row of terraced houses dating back to the 1800s. When we renovated the house we reinstated its period features, such as sash windows and original floorboards, whilst keeping the design simple and modern. Our favourite parts of the renovation are the walk in terrazzo shower and big open plan living kitchen space. Its been the perfect home for hosting dinner parties, or lazy nights watching movies on the projector. When its sunny we open the floor to ceiling windows so it feels like youre outside. "
