Description

" Pleasantly positioned within the well regarded village of Allington, Lopar is a detached 1960s bungalow set in a generous plot with a gated drive and a sunny southerly private mature garden.

The property is bright and airy, generous in proportion and extremely well maintained with full double glazing and gas fired central heating. The accommodation is well planned with a central entrance hall giving access to all rooms. The living room is a particularly good size with a front facing picture window and an open fireplace with a recently installed free standing log burning stove. The kitchen is well fitted with a good range of units and worktops; off the kitchen is a large utility room rear porch with additional storage. There are two large double bedrooms and a sizeable single bedroom, all with fitted wardrobes. The family bathroom has been refitted and benefits from both a shower enclosure and a separate bath.

Lopar is approached off Wyndham Lane via a gated drive with excellent parking and access to an attached carport and garage which also has an adjoining workshop garden room. To the front right of the bungalow is an area sufficiently wide enough to accommodate a large caravan motorhome, which has been specifically prepared for this purpose. The frontage is well planted with a variety of shrubs and is fully enclosed. The rear garden enjoys a southerly aspect, is fully enclosed and beautifully maintained with a central lawn bordered by mature flower beds and shrubs. There is also a large private sunny patio seating area.

LOCATION Allington is a small village and civil parish within Wiltshire about 3 miles from the country town of Amesbury and about 7 miles from the cathedral city of Salisbury. Amesbury, to the west, has a variety of everyday shops and there are medical facilities, supermarkets, schooling and churches. Salisbury has a thriving twice weekly market, extensive shopping facilities and social and educational amenities include the theatre, arts centre, cinema, state and private primary and secondary schools. There are leisure and recreational facilities including private members gymnasiums, golf club and recreation ground and tennis clubs. The nearby village of Grateley has a railway station serving London Waterloo and the West Country and there are good road links via the A303.
