Our Seller has lived in this home for over 20 years where she has raised her children. For her, it's been a perfect family home, however, due to moving nearer to her elderly parents and her children 'growing up' she has decided to make that change towards her 'final home move'.
Upon asking the reasons why she chose this house over others,
The Seller commented, 'When I first saw the house, I was happy that it had the double bay windows which I love', it stood out as, 'such a handsome house. I fell in love with the natural brick and the Original Cast Iron Victorian Porch which greets you at the door entrance. The high ceilings with their coving trims adds to the charm and made the rooms appear bigger and the first floor bedroom sizes were perfect for us.
With the regards to area, we took the following notes from her 'In the hope of raising a family the area was also important to us and over the years, we have found it to be quiet. It's been nice to have been surrounded by good neighbourly, friendly people'. The Central Park being situated on the south side of East Ham, is away from the hustle and bustle of the High St North side. My children went to Brampton Manor Secondary School, which is now the talk of the town. It's now renowned for unprecedented results which has helped set my kids up for further higher education and start careers
In terms of improvements, over the two decades of living there, the Seller has made some excellent additions. 'After the birth of my second child, it was time to develop this home, to make it more comfortable for family living. We started with building a pitched roof, brick built, single storey extension, where we added a ground floor shower room. We removed the divisional wall between the two receptions to create a through lounge and installed French doors to lead into the newly formed additional space. In terms of cosmetic enhancements, the kitchen was given an uplift and the bathroom was modernised too. In order, to make the house more energy efficient, Everest Double Glazed windows were fitted along with a gas fired combination boiler in the last five years.
