Upfront costs for general tenancies

The first rent payment needs to be paid before you move into your property.

We ask that you provide a deposit and a guarantor.

A deposit is usually the value of 5 weeks rent.

The guarantor must be a UK property owner.

Important information for student tenancies

You would be required to sign up for a 12 or 24 month tenancy. Before moving into a property you would need to pay a deposit to the value of 5 weeks rent, this is refundable at the end of the tenancy minus any arrears or damages. If you are an intentional student then rent for the full initial fixed term 12 months will need to be paid in advance of the tenancy commencing, if you do not have a guarantor.

The rent does not include any utilities or council tax. You would be exempt from Council Tax if you are students, but it would be your responsibility to apply for an exemption.

In order to rent a property, you would need to provide ID, previous landlord contact information if you have rented in the UK before, and proof of your income student finance award.
