This beautifully proportioned and substantial grade II listed 7 bedroom farmhouse is set in its own grounds in a rural setting on the borders of Wiltshire and Somerset. The original property was built around 1640 with the front extension built in 1760 and a further extension to the rear in 2004. The property has many period features and spacious well appointed rooms. On the ground floor the delightful hall leads to the living room and dining room at the front. In the mid section is the farmhouse style kitchen and study/office. The new extension to the rear houses the morning room, games/family room, utility, cloakroom, rear hall and boot room. A beautiful cantilevered staircase leads from the front hall to the galleried landing with a skylight providing abundant natural light. There are two good sized bedrooms to the front both with nicely fitted en-suite bathrooms. Millfield, Wells Cathedral and Kings Bruton Schools are all within 40 minutes drive. Bath also has a good selection of private schools including King Edwards School. Babington House the private members club is approximately 10 miles distant. Nearby is the well renowned Longleat Estate and a number of national trust properties including Stourhead. The stunning Georgian city of Bath lies approximately 16 miles distant, which is home to elegant buildings, amazing museums and ancient hot springs, offering a wealth of cultural experiences to enjoy.
