The original barn is believed to date from the early 15th century and faces south with superb views over the paddock and adjoining rolling countryside. The principal barn contains the vaulted principal reception room with a substantial brick inglenook style fireplace and galleried study. Beyond is the large kitchen/breakfast room with 6-oven Aga, oak fronted units with granite surfaces, large island unit with marble top and built-in appliances including Maytag fridge/freezer and EuroCave wine store. Adjoining the barn are 2 bedroom wings, one containing the master suite with an extensive range of built-in oak furniture and a luxuriously appointed bathroom with a spa bath and a large double shower, all set in marble surrounds and floor. In the second wing there are 3 further bedroom suites. Each bedroom opens onto the courtyard. Throughout the principal reception areas there are limestone floors with underfloor heating and low level lighting and there is an integrated music system throughout the house.
