"You should never judge a book by its cover, as first appearances can be deceptive. As you step through the front door, it soon becomes apparent that this home is larger than most of its more modern rivals.

In my eyes, the vendor having lived at the property for 32 years says a lot for the house and the area and after a viewing you could see why. Located just a short walk from Southwater's Country Park and the village centre, you couldn't be more conveniently positioned, whilst only five minutes walk to open countryside. The lounge and dining room, both having a southerly aspect which provides both light and heat, have an attractive hard wood floor which flows through from the entrance hall.

The enlarged entrance hall and study to the front of this home are a seamless addition. Over the years the study has provided flexible accommodation as a teenagers lounge, occasional guest bedroom and now a study.

The family bathroom and the downstairs cloakroom have been re fitted and the master bedroom now benefits from the clever use of space to provide an en suite shower room.

Outside, the secluded rear garden has a southerly aspect and is a good size at 84' in length and there is a large patio and area of lawn. At the front there is a brick block driveway, providing hard standing for a number of vehicles approaching the garage.

What the Owner says:

When we bought our home 32 years ago, we felt it offered good value for money compared to the other properties we had viewed. I remember looking down at the garden from the bedroom window and deciding it was the one for us.

When we moved in, we had one young child and another on the way and thought what a great house to raise our family. Of course, the village was a lot smaller then but the local school already had a good reputation.

As our children got older we decided to extend the house and created an additional reception room at the front, which the girls used when they had friends round and I now use as a study.
