"Converted in 1977 by a local Architect for his own occupation, this imposing barn offers a great degree of flexibility in terms of its accommodation arranged over two floors situated in grounds of 3.25 acres. From a traditional courtyard the front door gives access to an inner porch which in turn gives access to all rooms including a downstairs wc/shower. The ground floor accommodation comprises of a beautiful sitting room with vaulted ceiling, further complemented with an inset wood burning stove. There is a 25" library, a study and for more formal entertaining a separate dining room. The re fitted kitchen is the heart of the home, fitted with a range of "Poggenpohl and Leicht" kitchen units under an expanse of granite worktops and a gas fired Aga. Leading from the kitchen is a separate utility room with space for additional appliances. In addition there is a separate studio with a second wood burner. Situation
Situated close to the centre of the village. Fernhurst enjoys a good selection of local amenities including shops, primary school, church and public house. Haslemere town is situated about 3 miles to the north and provides a more comprehensive range of amenities including shopping facilities, schools for all ages both in the private and public sectors and a main line railway station providing a frequent service to London Waterloo in under the hour. In addition, the countryside surrounding Fernhurst and Haslemere is well known for its outstanding natural beauty, much of it is in the ownership of the National Trust, including the South Downs National Park, Devil's Punchbowl and Blackdown providing opportunities for walking and riding. The coast is approximately 20 miles to the south. There are a number of local golf courses, together with polo at Cowdray Park and racing at Goodwood.

The gardens and grounds are a particular feature of the property. Steps at the back of the garden lead down to the mill pond and the paddock with access to the River Lod and a bridle path.
