"Bay House is a quite outstanding double fronted Victorian detached house which affords exceptionally large family-sized accommodation. In recent years the property has been beautifully modernised and renovated, with great care having been taken to retain its original character. Typical of the era, the large sash windows provide plenty of natural light, and there are excellent ceiling heights, deep skirtings and architraving, plaster ceiling roses to two of the reception rooms and some fine feature fireplaces.

A timber-pillared entrance porch with a part-glazed front door and stained glass side panels opens to the reception hall which accesses the four reception rooms. Both the drawing room and dining room have particularly fine fireplaces and the beautifully appointed kitchen/breakfast room has been fitted with a contemporary quality range of high and low level units with marble-styled and solid oak worktops and a range of built-in appliances including a stainless steel Neff Domino hob with a cylindrical hood and Neff combination oven.

A spacious naturally-lit landing leads to four large double bedrooms, three with Victorian-styled fireplaces, served by a luxuriously appointed bathroom/shower room with fully tiled walls. A hatch off the main bedroom provides access to a loft with Velux windows and with potential for conversion (subject to usual consents).

Outside, the property has a brick-pillared approach over a pea-singled driveway leading to a substantial attached garage with double gates off the return frontage opening to a secondary driveway. The gardens have been most attractively landscaped. The house is fronted by a walled boundary with brick piers, with small lawned areas, flower and shrub borders and brick-edged pathways with a gate to one side leading to a brick-paved barbecue area in a shingled surround. The principal area of garden lies to the rear, where a further brick and shingled entertaining area overlooks a wide expanse of lawn, adjoined by well-stocked flower and shrub borders and young specimen trees and a raised vegetable plot.

The house is for sale with the benefit of NO ONGOING CHAIN.
SITUATION
